Taylor made drinks

We’ve built some incredible relationships since opening our gourmet drink service and espresso bar. Getting to grow with our clients is an exciting part of this entrepreneurial endeavor.

Taylor Morrison is one of them—a home building and land development company that constructs mid-to-upscale homes in the United States. They have hired us for multiple grand openings—about 10 times in the last 24 months—with communities all over the valley, from Lake Las Vegas and Summerlin to Pahrump. They are showing no signs of stopping.

Back in the summer of 2023, while still in our first year of operation, we suffered a catastrophic malfunction with one of our bar carts. As we were rolling in to set up for a grand opening, the cart caught a curb, and the metal frame sheared from its base. At the time, it was the only bar we had.

Jackie and I were unsure what to do. We had 45 minutes until serving time, and we didn’t have a bar to serve from. This is where Jackie’s problem-solving skills prevailed.

We had everything but the bar—the machines, the syrups, the beans, and the cups. We just needed a surface to serve from. Jackie remembered that the first time she did an event was at an open house for one of her listings. She brought everything from our home. There was no bar, so she placed everything right on the kitchen countertop.

Maybe Taylor Morrison would let us do the same. Angela, the marketing manager, would have to sign off on it. Jackie walked into the office as I hid our broken cart shamelessly inside the dumpster gate, which had to be used as temporary storage. The clock was ticking.

Less than 5 minutes later, Jackie came back and said, “They’re up for it.” I exhaled a sigh of relief. We moved all of our equipment onto the kitchen countertop of the model home.

We served, and everyone loved it. It turns out that the more intimate we can make the experience, the more enjoyable it is for everyone who comes in.

A year and a half later, we’re still a consistent presence in Taylor Morrison model homes. With every grand opening we cater, our relationship with the team grows, as does our respect for one another.
